Changed is change order software for contractors who run their business on Jobber: film or write up the extra work on your phone, or ask Claude, ChatGPT or Muse to draft it, and your customer signs off from a link on their phone before the work.

Once they sign off, Changed keeps the signed record and the signed PDF and writes the change back to the Jobber job, without touching the quote.

The connector is a remote MCP server at https://itschanged.app/mcp. Your assistant signs in with OAuth, so there is no key to paste or keep.

  • Claude

    Add to Claude
    1. Press Add to Claude. Claude opens with Changed filled in; press Add.
    2. Press Connect, sign in to Changed and press Allow.
    3. In a chat, press +, then Connectors, and turn Changed on.

    Works on every Claude plan; the Free plan allows one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan an Owner adds it once, then each person presses Connect.

  • ChatGPT

    Copy and open ChatGPT
    1. Tap Copy and open ChatGPT. The address is copied and ChatGPT's settings open on the web.
    2. If Developer mode is off, turn it on under Security and login.
    3. Open Plugins and press +. Name it Changed, paste the address, choose OAuth and create it.
    4. Sign in to Changed and press Allow.
    5. In a chat, press +, choose Developer mode, and pick Changed.

    Needs ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu, on the web. On a work plan an admin may have to allow developer mode first. ChatGPT asks before each change. Developer mode is needed only until Changed is in ChatGPT's app directory; then you add it from ChatGPT's apps instead.

  • Muse

    Add a custom connector for Changed at https://itschanged.app/mcp. Sign in with OAuth.

    1. Press Copy for Muse, then paste it into a Muse chat and send it.
    2. When Muse opens Changed, sign in and press Allow.
    3. Ask Muse to list your jobs in Changed, to check it works.

    Muse asks before it uses the connector. If it asks for an API key, tell it Changed signs in with OAuth instead.

What it does

What your assistant can do.

Say it the way you would say it to the office:

  • Find a job by the customer's name, part of the address, the job title or the Jobber job number.

  • Look up your products and services, so the lines carry your prices.

  • Draft a change order: the reason in plain words, and the lines to add or take out.

  • Send it for sign-off by email, or by text from your Quo number. It reads back the lines, the total and who it goes to first, and sends only when you say yes.

  • Void a draft, or one out for sign-off that you no longer want.

What it can't do

  • Sign off, ask for changes or decline for your customer. Only the customer does that, on their phone, with their signature.
  • Edit a change order or void one your customer signed off on. You do those in Changed.
  • Work for a tech unless an owner allows it. One switch in Settings, Team, off until an owner turns it on. A tech's assistant works as that tech, and the timeline says whose assistant did what.

Build or connect

Why not build your own?

Your assistant can write a form and an email in an afternoon. A change order your customer signs off on, that holds up later and lands on the Jobber job, is the rest of the work. Changed already does it:

  • A sign-off that holds up

    The customer agrees to sign electronically and can read the disclosure first, as the US ESIGN Act and UETA expect. They sign by drawing or typing their name. The time, IP address, device and a fingerprint of exactly what they were shown are kept.

  • A record anyone can check

    The signed PDF ends with a sign-off certificate. Its fingerprint is on record, and the check page printed on every PDF says whether a copy matches.

  • Versions

    Edit a change order after it went out and it becomes version 2. The old link stops working, and every version is kept with who saw it and when.

  • Ask for changes

    Instead of signing, the customer can tell you what to change. Their note lands on the change order, ready for the next version.

  • Back on the Jobber job

    The lines, labeled with the change order number. A pinned note with who signed off, the totals, the signed PDF and the photos. The job's Change orders field. A deposit invoice when it asks for one. The quote is never touched.

  • Photos and video

    Taken on the phone at the job, shown to the customer before they sign, and kept in the signed PDF.

  • One person signs off

    Each change order has one person who signs off, and every step is on the timeline with who and when: drafted, sent, opened, signed off, in Jobber.

  • Limits and security

    Sending, sign-in and the assistant connection each have limits, so a stuck loop can't email your customer fifty times. An assistant's sign-in is stored hashed, and any assistant can be disconnected in Settings.

Building that yourself is weeks of work, and then it is yours to keep working each time Jobber, the assistants or the e-signature rules change.

Does it work with Jobber?

Yes. Start with your Jobber login and press Allow. Your jobs, customers, and products and services come across, and every signed-off change order is written back to the Jobber job. Changed is built by Crew Cab Studios, not by Jobber.

Do I need to code?

No. Press Add to Claude, or paste one address into ChatGPT, or send Muse one message. Then sign in and press Allow. There is nothing to install.

Can the AI sign for my customer?

No. No tool signs off, asks for changes or declines. Your assistant can only send a change order for sign-off, after you say yes. The customer signs off on their phone, with their signature.

What does my customer need?

A phone, and an email address or a mobile number. Nothing to install and no account.

Does it work without Jobber?

Yes. Add jobs and customers by hand in Changed, and your assistant works with them the same way. Jobber is the first connection, not a requirement.
