Terms and schedule on a change order

Add your own terms to every change order in Settings, and say in the builder whether a change moves the schedule.

Your terms

In Settings, Company, Terms on every change order takes up to 1,500 characters of plain text, like "Payment is due within 15 days of sign-off." They are your own words. Changed does not write terms for you, so ask your own lawyer if you are not sure what to put.

The customer sees them under the lines, as Terms from your company, and they are printed in the signed PDF.

When you send a change order for sign-off, it keeps the terms as they are at that moment. Changing them in Settings later only affects change orders you send after that, never one already sent or signed off.

The schedule

In the builder, Schedule has three choices:

  • Not stated, the default. The customer sees nothing about the schedule.
  • No change: "No change to the schedule."
  • Adds days, with the number: "Adds 3 days to the schedule."

When you state it, it shows on the customer's page, in the PDF, on the change order and in the pinned note on a Jobber job.

The line that ties it to the job

Every change order also says, on its own: "This change order amends the agreement for (the job) at (the address). All other terms of that agreement stay the same." You do not need to write it.

The terms and the schedule are part of what the customer signs off on. If either was edited after their page loaded, the sign-off is refused and they are asked to reload.
