Take work off with a credit
When the customer wants less work, credit a line on the change order and the job total goes down once they sign off.
Credit a line
The customer wants less done? In the change order:
- On a Jobber job, find the line under On this job now and tap Credit. It goes on as a credit for the whole line. To take off only part, change its quantity or price.
- Any job, tap Write a line, type what is coming off and its price, then tap Credit on that line.
The totals show the change as a minus, and the new job total is lower. Send it for sign-off as usual. See Make a change order.
What happens in Jobber
Once the customer signs off, Changed leaves the original line on the job as it is and adds a new line with a minus price, named for what it credits and the change order, for example Credit: Pot light, LED (CO-02). The job's history stays clear and its total goes down. See What goes back to Jobber.
If Jobber will not take a line with a minus price, the change order and the job note say so, and you adjust it in Jobber by hand.
