Connect an AI assistant

You can add Changed to Claude, ChatGPT or Muse. Your assistant can then look up your jobs and your products and services, draft change orders and send them for sign-off. Only your customer can sign off. That always happens on their phone, with their signature.

In Changed, open Settings, Connections, AI assistants and pick the assistant you use. Changed then shows only that assistant's steps: a button for Claude, the address to copy for ChatGPT, and a message to copy for Muse.

Owners and office can always connect one. Techs can connect their own once an owner allows it (see below).

From the job site

Say what you need, the way you would say it to the office: "I need a change order on the Henderson job to add two pot lights at $85 each." Your assistant finds the job by the customer's name, the address, the job title or the Jobber job number. It drafts the change order, then reads back the lines, the total and who it goes to. Say yes and it sends it to the customer for sign-off, by email. The customer signs off on their phone, as always.

If the customer has no email in Jobber, your assistant says so. Add their email, or tell it who signs off.

Claude

1. Press Add to Claude. Claude opens with Changed filled in. Press Add.
2. Press Connect, sign in to Changed and press Allow.
3. In a chat, press +, then Connectors, and turn Changed on.

If the button does not open the form, open Customize, then Connectors, press +, then Add custom connector, and paste the address.

Every Claude plan can do this, and the Free plan allows one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds it once, then each person presses Connect.

ChatGPT

1. In Changed, tap Copy and open ChatGPT. The address is copied and ChatGPT's settings open on the web. If Developer mode is off, turn it on under Security and login.
2. Open Plugins and press +.
3. Name it Changed, paste the address, choose OAuth and create it.
4. Sign in to Changed and press Allow.
5. In a chat, press +, choose Developer mode and pick Changed.

It needs Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu. On a work plan, an admin may have to allow developer mode first. ChatGPT asks before each change.

Muse

1. Press Copy for Muse, paste it into a Muse chat and send it.
2. When Muse opens Changed, sign in and press Allow.
3. Ask Muse to list your jobs in Changed, to check it works.

Muse asks before it uses the connector. If it asks for an API key, tell it Changed signs in with OAuth instead.

Techs and their own assistant

An owner decides whether techs can connect their own. Flip the switch "Techs can connect their own AI assistant" in Settings, Connections under AI assistants, or in Settings, Team. It is off until an owner turns it on, and only an owner can change it.

A tech's assistant works as that tech: it drafts and sends change orders, and the timeline says whose assistant it was. It can never sign off.

If an owner turns it off again, techs' assistants stop on their next request and say why. Nobody is disconnected, so turning it back on is all it takes.

Disconnect

Settings, Connections, AI assistants lists every connected assistant with whose it is and when it was connected. Owners and office see everyone's and can disconnect any of them; a tech sees and disconnects only their own. Press Disconnect and it stops working straight away. It will ask to connect again next time.
