Turn a vendor's email into a change order

Forward a vendor's email to your company's Changed inbox and it becomes a draft change order on the right job.

Every company in Changed has its own inbox address. To see it, open the vendor email inbox.

  1. Forward the vendor's email, attachments and all, to that address.
  2. Changed reads it and looks for the job by PO number or address.
  3. If it finds the job, the email becomes a draft change order on that job, with the reason and the lines filled in and the vendor as the one who asked.

Needs a job

If Changed cannot tell which job it is for, the email shows in the vendor email inbox as needs a job. A line at the bottom of the Change orders page says how many. Pick the job and tap Draft it.

Could not read

If Changed could not read the email, it says so. Tap Try again, or make the change order by hand.

The vendor hears back

When a change order that came from a vendor's email is signed off, or the customer asks for changes, Changed replies to the vendor on their own email thread with who signed off, the amount and the PDF link, or that the customer asked for changes, with their note.

A draft from an email is still a draft. Check it, then send it for sign-off.
